Are you looking to boost your career by earning a master’s of business administration degree? Concordia University – Portland has a number of MBA scholarships to help make achieving your goal that much easier.
This includes a new $5,000 MBA Christian Fellowship Award for those who graduated from a regionally accredited Christian or faith-based college or university and who are seeking an MBA.
Concordia Portland is a private, nonprofit Christian liberal arts school. The school is part of the Concordia University system with 10 schools across the country that are affiliated with the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. The entire system has more than 29,000 students.
Here is a look at some of the scholarships for students in the school’s MBA program, which is accredited by the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs.
Christian Fellowship Award
This $5,000 award is available for students who have an undergraduate degree from any regionally accredited Christian/faith-based school, not just Concordia graduates. The scholarship is available only for full-time MBA students.
Concordia Portland offers a 20 percent tuition discount for graduates from the university who wish to pursue an MBA. The discount is also available for those who graduated from any of the other nine schools in the Concordia University system. These universities are located in Selma, Ala.; Bronxville, N.Y.; Irvine, Calif.; Ann Arbor, Mich.; River Forest, Ill.; Seward, Neb.; St. Paul, Minn.; Austin, Tex.; and Mequon, Wis. The grant is also available for graduates of other Lutheran colleges or universities.
AmeriCorps/Peace Corp Alumni Grant
This $5,000 grant is available for those who performed service through either the AmeriCorps or the Peace Corps. Proof of service is needed, and the grant is not stack-able with other scholarships.
AmeriCorps concentrates on providing civil service in education, public safety, health care, and environmental protection in the United States. The Peace Corps does much the same outside the United States, as well as familiarize others with culture in the U.S.
Other Scholarships and Grants
A $4,000 Career Track scholarship may be awarded to students in the Concordia University – Portland MBA program who are not already receiving a non-stackable scholarship. Students may also receive a $1,000 Educational Resource Scholarship to help offset the cost of textbooks and technology. Those who submit a completed application by the university’s priority application deadline may receive a $500 Early Application Scholarship.
By combining some of these MBA scholarships where it is allowed, a student can reduce their costs by thousands of dollars. The estimated tuition after scholarships is $26,316 – $29,770. Please contact your enrollment specialist for specific criteria and restrictions.
